_ TEXTILE SCULPTURES IN ROPE_

Passionate about textile art and contemporary sculpture, Lisa THEVENON creates decorative objects in linen, cotton or hemp rope, which come to life in interiors all over the world: apartments, galleries, hotels, restaurants, concept stores... Her unique works are sinuous constructions of rope and thread, entirely handmade.

As a great wall decoration, his unique pieces weave a link between our interior and the emotions released by contemporary sculpture. Pieces that decorate any interior in search of a contemporary and ethnic look.

_THE WORK OF THE MATERIAL_

Lisa THEVENON uses natural materials to elaborate her textile sculptures:

_RAW_

The main material is linen, cotton or hemp. Lisa gets her supplies from a well-known French manufacturer of ropes, ribbons, cords, laces, and braids, supplier of the great luxury houses. This is what gives the raw aspect of Lisa's textile works.

_DELICATE_

The secondary material is the synthetic thread, which fixes the curves and knots of the rope. Lisa gets her supplies from a thread craftsman based in Kortrijk (Belgium): the synthetic thread brings a precious and delicate touch to the whole.

_SINGULAR_

For certain requests or according to her collabs, Lisa THEVENON can add to her creations any other material giving a singular artistic rendering (painting, graf, metal, ...)

_FRENCH TEXTILE ARTIST_

After studying Fashion Design, Lisa THEVENON will start working in contemporary textile art in 2019. Passionate about primitive art and interior decoration, Lisa THEVENON has the idea one day to create a deco with rope and begins to be interested in macramé mural: this is the beginning of a love story between her and the natural material, the touch, the contact with the textile material and the work of creation.
